Publish'd as the Act Directs, June 1773

From "The EXPLANATION OF THE PLATES in the Book of Heads entitled
HUMAN PASSIONS DELINEATED": PLATE 4

T

HIS hypocrite, whose holy l00k and dress

Till old sly Mammon takes it all by stealth,
And leaves him naked on a dreary shore,
Where cant and nonsense draw in fools no more.
