Louis-Philippe, dressed as a stonemason plastering over the unfulfilled promises he made during the Three Glorious Days of 1830.

This caricature prompted the journal's first seizure by authorities. Philipon went to trial where he made the famous sketches that transformed the king's face into a pear.
